Nancy O'Dell's first work in the industry of broadcast was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor and morning reporter at WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's stories about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases caused a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in state authorities re-issuing the strictest guidelines regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. She also works as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's reported on the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
